Max Fetisov is a compassionate humanitarian leader, faith-driven pastor, and the visionary founder and director of True Hope Ukraine, a long-standing ministry committed to bringing practical and spiritual hope to orphans and vulnerable youth across Ukraine.

Max’s journey into service began in his youth. In 1999, at just eleven years old, he met his first orphan and was moved by the lack of love, family, and opportunity in the lives of children without guardians. What started then as weekly visits to orphanages to share encouragement and Bible stories eventually grew into True Hope — a ministry that today mobilizes dozens of volunteers across Ukraine to care for orphans at every stage of life.

Under Max’s leadership, True Hope Ukraine has developed a holistic approach to supporting orphaned and at-risk young people. The ministry provides mentoring, life skills, education, housing support, and assistance with basic needs like food,
clothing, and medical help. In addition to practical care, the organization prioritizes emotional and spiritual support, helping young people to build relationships, learn vocational skills, and experience the love and acceptance of Christian community.
With the escalation of conflict in Ukraine, Max and his wife Amanda have been on the frontlines. While many were displaced, they remained in their city of Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, coordinating aid for children, families, and those affected by war. True
Hope facilities have served not only as support centers but also as safe spaces during times of air raid alerts, where food, shelter, and compassion are shared with those in need.

In addition to his humanitarian work, Max serves as Senior Pastor of the Christian community Church of Truth (Церква Істина) in the city of Kryvyi Rih, a congregation unified by faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to see lives transformed by the Gospel. His role there combines pastoral care with community outreach, fostering spiritual growth and meaningful connection among believers and neighbors alike.

More recently, the work and impact of True Hope in the lives of the community has been recognized by local and regional governing offices. He has become an advisor to government leaders of the region in how to serve more effectively the vulnerable in the community.

Through both True Hope Ukraine and Church of Truth, Max’s work/services reflects a commitment to loving others with practical action and spiritual depth — from mentoring orphan graduates to nurturing congregational life. His life and ministry
continue to inspire people in Ukraine and around the world to live out compassion, resilience, and hope in challenging circumstances.
